VSTACK and HSTACK combine multiple arrays vertically or horizontally. Perfect for consolidating data from multiple ranges or sheets. TOROW and TOCOL flatten arrays into a single row or column. WRAPROWS and WRAPCOLS reshape a flat list into a grid. TAKE and DROP extract or remove rows/columns from an array. CHOOSEROWS and CHOOSECOLS select specific rows or columns by index. EXPAND pads an array to specified dimensions.

IMAGE Function

The IMAGE function inserts images directly into cells from URLs. This opens entirely new use cases: product catalogs with images in cells, employee directories with photos, dynamic dashboards with chart images, and visual reports with embedded graphics. Example: =IMAGE("https://example.com/product.jpg") places the image directly in the cell, scaling with the cell size.

Performance Improvements

Excel 2024 calculates faster, opens large files quicker, and uses memory more efficiently. Multi-threaded calculation better utilizes modern multi-core processors.
