Before installing Microsoft Office 2024 Professional Plus, make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements. Office 2024 runs on modern Windows systems and is designed to perform well on both budget and high-end hardware.

Important Notes About Compatibility

Microsoft Office 2024 requires a 64-bit operating system for the 64-bit installation, which is recommended for best performance. The 32-bit version is available for legacy compatibility but offers reduced performance and lower memory limits.

Office 2024 does not support Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1. You must be running Windows 10 version 2004 or later, or Windows 11. If you're on an older Windows version, you'll need to upgrade before installing Office 2024.

macOS Compatibility

Microsoft Office 2024 for Mac is available as a separate product. The Windows product key we sell works on Windows PCs only. For Mac users, Microsoft offers Office 2024 for Mac with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook — though it does not include Access or Publisher, which are Windows-exclusive applications.

32-bit vs 64-bit Installation

We recommend the 64-bit version of Office 2024 for all users unless you specifically need 32-bit compatibility for legacy add-ins. The 64-bit version can handle larger files, more memory, and delivers better performance on modern hardware. If you're working with Excel spreadsheets over 2GB or complex PowerPoint presentations, 64-bit is essential.

ARM64 Support

Office 2024 includes native ARM64 support for Windows on ARM devices like the Microsoft Surface Pro X and other Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered PCs. This means you get full native performance without emulation overhead on ARM-based Windows devices.

Network and Activation Requirements

An internet connection is required for the initial activation of Office 2024. After activation, you can use Office 2024 completely offline without any internet connection. The suite does not require periodic online verification — once activated, it's yours to use forever, even on air-gapped systems.
